Govt vows utmost protection for journalistKARACHI: Caretaker Information Minister Sindh Noorul Huda Shah on Sunday said that the government would provide maximum possible protection to the journalists performing their duties.
Journalists have been fighting terrorism with courage and patriotism by standing shoulder to shoulder with the government, she said. The minister stated this while enquiring about welfare of a private TV channel reporter Zulfiqar Pirzada at Aga Khan Hospital. He was injured in the line of duty in Saturday evening bomb blast near MQM’s head office.
She said the government holds journalists’ security in high esteem and will extend all possible help and support to the journalists performing their professional duties with high risk to their life. She prayed for earliest recovery of Zulfiqar Pirzada and assured the family of her cooperation and help. app
