SHC dismisses MQM’s Karachi delimitation petition
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has dismissed a petition filed by the Muttahida Quami movement (MQM) against the new delimitation of constituencies in the city.
The SHC bench hearing the petition ruled that it could not interfere with the decision of the Supreme Court. While hearing the Karachi law and order case, the Supreme Court had ordered the delimitation of constituencies in the city. A petition had also been filed against delimitation by the PPP.
In its order, the Sindh High Court stated that the petitioners could approach the Supreme Court or the relevant tribunal.
