Nawaz cancels political activities over Imran

RAWALPINDI: PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday announced to postpone all his political engagements for a today (Wednesday) to express sympathy with PTI chief Imran Khan, who fell of a forklift and received injuries at a public meeting in Lahore. “I pray for early recovery of Imran Khan. I announce to cancel all my political engagements scheduled for Wednesday,” the PML-N chief said while addressing a public meeting at Liaquat Bagh. He also asked the participants of the meeting to pray for Imran Khan so that he (Khan) can actively advance his political campaign after recovery. Nawaz appreciated the enthusiasm exhibited by the party workers in the political gathering and expressed confidence that May 11 would be the day of their victory. He said Pakistan was passing through difficult times, as it faced a number of issues like load shedding, inflation, poverty, unemployment and deteriorating situation of law and order in different parts of the country. app
