PTA withdraws notification on mobile phone service shutdownKARACHI: An hour after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced to suspend mobile phone service across Sindh, it has withdrawn the notification to this effect, Geo News reported.
The decision was made on the eve of Pakistan’s historic general elections as part of security arrangements.
The PTA had said that the services would be shut from Friday evening to Saturday 5:00 pm. It had also said that the V-fone service would also remain suspended in Sindh.
