Voting rights to expats in May 11 polls impossible: ECPISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Ishtiak Ahmed Khan on Wednesday said that granting voting right to overseas Pakistanis was not possible in the May 11 general elections due to shortage of time. Talking to reporters, he said, “It was the desire of all stakeholder that overseas Pakistani should be given right to franchise in the ensuing elections 2013 but limited time has become hurdle in this way.” He said it would be very difficult for the ECP to make voting arrangements for around 4.5 million overseas Pakistanis. app
