High turnout in elections expected, Secretary ECP

ISLAMABAD: Ishtiaq Ahmed, Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Saturday said he expects high turnout ranging from 60 to 80 percent in the general elections 2013.

Talking to media, he said 40 million people have sought information about their polling stations through the Election Commission’s newly introduced e-ticket service which indicates high turnout.

He urged people to come out of their homes and cast vote for better future as solution of people’s problems lies in their active participation in the electoral process. (PPI)
