Imran gives task to form govt in KP: Khattak

PESHAWAR: Secretary General Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Pervez Khattak said on Tuesday that his party's chief Imran Khan has given him a task to form government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), adding that he is a candidate for chief ministry, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference along with Jamat-e-Islami (JI) KPK Ameer Professor M Ibrahim followed by the meeting with leaders of JI regarding formation of government in KPK, Pervez Khattak said that being a secretary general of the PTI, he has been given a task to form provincial government and he is moving ahead over Imran Khan's directives.

He denied reports regarding any commitment to give a senior and two provincial ministries to Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), saying that these rumors have no truth.

All matters have been finalized with JI and soon we would give a good news about formation of government in KPK, said he.

He revealed that distributions of ministries have not been discussed with JI but both the parties agreed to make KP an Islamic welfare province and to eliminate drone attacks and corruption.
