PML-N gained simple majority in NA: Shahbaz
ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday met former chief minister Punjab and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif here, Geo News reported.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said meeting with Fazlur Rehman was encouraging and they would continue this effort in future as well.
He said although PML-N had gained simple majority in the National Assembly but issues would be resolved in mutual consensus.
Fazlur Rehman said he was thankful to Shahbaz Sharif who invited him. He said he had convened meeting of party’s executive committee after Shahbaz’s invitation.
On the success of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Maulana said he did not accept PTI’s mandate as it was fake.
Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif held meeting with PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaders. Sardar Mehtab, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra, Pir Sabir Shah, Captain (retd) Safdar and others were also present.
