Shahbaz Sharif invites Jamali to join PML-N

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Shahbaz Sharif Saturday phoned former prime minister, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali and invited him to join the party. According to sources, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali congratulated the former chief minister Punjab on the success in the recent general elections and said that masses have given the mandate to the PML-N. He expressed the hope that Mian Nawaz Sharif will take effective steps to steer the country out of the prevailing crisis and make important decisions to control inflation and end the electricity and gas shortage. Mian Shahbaz Sharif invited the former prime minister for a meeting in Lahore and to join PML-N. Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said that he would reply after consultations. PML-N leader Saad Rafiq also phoned the former premier in this regard. Meanwhile, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali called on President, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi (Pir Pagara) in Karachi and discussed different matters including political situation in the country and PML-N’s invitation to the PML-F to join the federal government.
