Interim PM Khosa chairs meeting on energy shortage
ISLAMABAD: Interim Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso is chairing a meeting on the energy shortage in the country.
The interim prime minister has directed the Ministry of Finance to release Rs 22.5 billion on an immediate basis to tackle the energy shortfall. According to the Ministry of Water and Power, 9,000-9,500 MW is being produced in the country.
Officials from the Ministry of Water and Power add that if the receive funds by Tuesday; energy generation will increase by 2,000 MW.
