Past mistakes won’t be repeated: PML-N

QUETTA: A leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N and former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said that they would not repeat the mistakes of the past and his party would introduce a model government in the country.

He was addressing a meeting of newly elected PML-N members of the national and Balochistan assemblies and other party leaders. Shahbaz arrived in Quetta to hold meetings with party’s newly elected legislators, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai and National Party President Dr Abdul Malik to discuss and finalise the formation of next coalition government in the province. He said, “We have learnt a lesson from mistakes done in the past and decided to introduce a model government that will put the country on the road of progress and prosperity.” The PML-N government, he said, would work for development and boosting of national economy. Shahbaz said that the people would feel difference between the upcoming government of PML-N and the previous ones of other parties. He said that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif wanted to take serious steps to remove sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan. The issues of the province will be resolved amicably with joint efforts of all the political stakeholders, he added. app
