IHC reserves verdict in passport lamination paper contract case
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Hight Court (IHC) on Tiesday reserved judgment of the passport lamination paper contract case.
During the hearing of the case, DG Immigration and Passport Zulfiqar Cheema in his testimony said that former Interior Minister, Rehman Malik wanted to give the passport lamination contract to one company and the delay thereby provided an opportunity to the mafia to take bribe as much as Rs25000 for issuance of a passport.
Zulfiqar Cheema also disclosed that even cycle-puncture menders were issued blue passport on the orders of interior ministry, however, he has now ordered cancelation of all such passports.
