Law ministry rejects summary to ban CNG for over 1000cc cars
ISLMABAD: The law ministry on Friday rejected a summary to ban over 1000cc cars from utilizing CNG , with an objection that the step was beyond the mandate of the interim government.
Sources said that caretaker prime minister got a summary approved from the ministry of petroleum and forwarded to the law ministry to seek legal opinion.
However, the law ministry was of the view that the interim government could not take the decision to impose the ban.
The ban was to be implemented from May 25.
