Allotment of reserved seats: PML-N number of seats rises to 186
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz strength of seats in the 342-member National Assembly reached 186 after allotment of reserved seats for women and non-Muslim candidates.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) seats in the lower house of the parliament are 40, 35, and 23 respectively after the allotment of the reserved seats.
The PML-N got 35 seats for women and six for non-Muslim candidates while the PPP secured seven seats for women and one for minority candidate.
The PTI won 28 general seats in May 11 polls and obtained six seats for women and one for non-Muslim candidates.
The MQM won 18 general seats and got four seats for women and one for minority candidates.
Similarly, the Jamiat Ulema-I-Islam strength stood at 14 after allotment of three seats reserved for women and one for non-Muslim candidates.
The Jamaat-I-Islami, National People’s Party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Q got one, one and two reserved seats respectively.
