Law enforcers in civvies ‘kidnapping’ our activists: MQM

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination committee on Wednesday claimed that security personnel in civvies were picking up its workers, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference here at MQM headquarters, Haider Abbas Rizvi flanked by other coordination committee members, said that workers and office bearers of MQM were being targeted under a planned conspiracy.

Rizvi further said that situation like Balochistan was being created in Karachi, adding that nine workers of MQM are still missing.

He revealed that one of his party’s worker Ajmal Baig had been picked up from a mosque and three other MQM workers were also killed later.

“A worker of MQM was gunned down in Ali Gargh area on May 28 while another its another activist Sarfaraz was killed in Nazimabad, Block-6,” he claimed.

Condemning what he termed the acts of terrorism, Rizvi demanded of the government to arrest the killers. He added that the consequences of pushing somebody against the wall are in front of everyone.

Offering condolences to the heirs of party’s martyrs, Rizvi appealed to the people to keep a vigilant eye on suspicious people and vehicles.
