Qaim Ali Shah elected Sindh Chief Minister for third time

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Qaim Ali Shah has been elected as Chief Minister of Sindh province for the third time by securing 86 votes.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate for CM slot Syed Sardar Ahmed bagged 48 votes and remained second while Imtiaz Sheikh of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) secured 18 votes.

Earlier, speaking to the media, Syed Qaim Ali Shah had said that he would not disappoint the people.

PPP leaders Agha Siraj Durrani and Shehla Raza were elected as the speaker and deputy speaker of the Sindh Assembly with an overwhelming majority.
