MQM to stage worldwide demos over arrests, ‘extra-judicial killings’
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has decided to stage protests across Pakistan and the world over what it claimed the ‘illegal arrests of MQM workers, torture in custody, extra-judicial killings, and targeting of activists in incidents of terrorism’.
According a statement of MQM released here Thursday, the above decision was taken at a joint meeting of MQM Coordination Committee (Karachi and London) held here at its headquarters, Nine Zero.
The meeting also expressed grave concern over the disappearance of its 9 workers.
It was also decided that courts would also be approached against the brutal killings of MQM workers and disappearances of its workers.
It was decided that human rights organizations throughout the world would be informed about the ‘repressive actions and conspiracies’ against the MQM.
