German envoy calls on Dar

ISLAMABAD -, Germany Embassy Deputy Head of Mission Peter Felten called on Minster for Finance and Economic Affairs Senator Ishaq Dar here on Saturday.
The German envoy felicitated the minister on the signing of the agreement between Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Karandaaz Pakistan (funded by UK’s Department for International Development) and Germany’s Kreditanstaltfür Wiederaufbau (KfW) Bank for the establishment of Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC).
Dar also welcomed the agreement and appreciated the contribution of KfW in the PMIC as one of the shareholders. He also lauded the continued German support for different development projects in Pakistan.
Peter discussed with the minister regarding programme of his engagements at the forthcoming Annual Meeting of Asian Development Bank being held in Frankfurt from 2-5 May 2016. The minister said that he looked forward to his meetings with German leadership, specially the German Minister for Economic Cooperation & Development Dr Gerd Muller, during his stay in Frankfurt. Senior officials of the Ministry of Finance attended the meeting.
