Top civil-military huddle discusses national security
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday chaired a high-level civil-military meeting, where issues related to national security were discussed.
Sources said the case of death row Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav, whose execution was stayed by International Court of Justice; Riyadh summit and other national security matters came under discussion.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar and National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua attended the meeting.
Earlier, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House and exchanged views on the matters pertaining to national security.
