Fear when your own wicket will fall, Khursheed to Imran

SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah, while talking to the media at the IBA Sukkur on Monday, said that it was a big joke that those who did not respect the parliament were raising the slogan to respect the vote.

Taking a jibe at the PTI chief Imran Khan, he asked him to fulfil the promises that he made with the people of KP first and only then talk about others. Talking about the falling wickets, the opposition leader said that Imran should fear from that time when his wicket would fall.

He said that Shahbaz Sharif pledged to make Karachi 'New York', asking what he did for Karachi in his five-year rule. He said that the PML-N government provided only Rs one billion from Rs14 billion for Karachi’s water supply and Rs800 million for drainage scheme and Green Line bus project for Karachi.

He said that the Sharif brothers had promised to end loadshedding, however, day-by-day the loadshedding duration was increasing and due to this situation, the industrial growth was zero. He said that Shahbaz Sharif believed in tall claims only, but he should also look at the ugly condition of Mandi Bahauddin and other cities in the Punjab.

He said that a non-elected person presented the budget, which was an insult of the parliament. He said that presenting 13 months' budget by the PML-N government was also a humiliation for the parliament, because they had no such mandate. He said the people of Karachi have now determined to give the mandate of Karachi to the PPP and exercise their vote in favour of the People's Party.
