NAB monitoring entire country, not just Punjab: Javed Iqbal
ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Wednesday said the the bureau is keeping an eye on malpractices across the country and not just in Punjab.
“There is no doubt that NAB is keeping an eye on Pakistan and not just Punjab. Our priority is to ensure across the board accountability, and no special treatments would be bestowed upon anyone,” NAB chairman said while speaking at a meeting in Islamabad headquarters.
Earlier on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had said that NAB “is keeping an eagle eye on Punjab” and that the bureau must hold everyone accountable on merit and avoid “double standards.”

During the meeting, NAB chairman added that the bureau’s priority is to eliminate corruption from the country and to recover looted money from corrupt elements.
He also ordered NAB DGs to conduct verification of complaints, inquiries and investigations within the given time frame and hold corrupt elements accountable by accumulating solid evidences against the accused and by working within the bounds of NAB laws.
