Nisar to hold press conference in Islamabad today
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) disgruntled leader Chaudhry Nisar will hold a press conference at 4:00pm today (Saturday).
According to reports, Nisar will not part ways with PML-N, however, he will leave the decision regarding his future on the party leadership, while he will also discuss party matters and the current security and political situation of the state.
“He will leave the decision to the party whether to issue him a ticket or not,” sources reveal.
“If Nisar is issued a ticket by the party, then he will contest elections as a PML-N candidate, but if not, then he will contest as an independent candidate,” it was added.
The unhappy PML-N leader is also expected to discuss his 35-year long association with the party. Earlier, there were rumours of Nisar joining PTI and having meetings of with the party leader Imran Khan.
Answering a question regarding the PML-N leader, Imran had said: “What options does he [Nisar] have? He can bow down to Maryam, which other [PML-N leaders] have shamelessly done but Nisar has some sense of honour. His other option is independent politics, which will not be beneficial for the country,”
He added, “PTI is his only choice if he wants to serve Pakistan.”
