Sindh Governor takes notice of overcharging cattle owners
KARACHI: Sindh Governor, taking notice of the Geo News program “Hum Awam’ unveiling the illegal extortion from the Eidul Azha cattle owners over an above the permissible fees, has called for a report from the Administrator and DCO here.Governor House spokesman said that Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan has taken notice of the Geo News program Hum Awam’s news relating to the extortions from the Eidul Azha cattle owners by charging them over and above the permissible fees. The Governor in this connection has called for a report from the Administrator and the DCO.
Karachi DCO Roshan Ali Sheikh has suspended acting executive director (veterinary) Dr. Iftikhar and other staff involved in extortions besides a committee headed by EDO Revenue has been set up, which on enquiry would be submitting report within two days.
However, sources told that no action thus far has been taken against the contractor involved in the scam.
