Commissionerate system restored in Sindh: sources
KARACHI: Commissionerate System has resumed in Sindh as Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were unable to reach consensus over Local Government System, Geo News reported Friday.Chief Secretary Sindh has undersigned a notification dated Nov 5, 2011 to this effect.
According to details an ordinance promulgated by Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad will stand null & void by midnight (November 4, 2011) restoring Karachi’s all five districts along with their administration.
Sources say DCO Roshan Ali Shaikh would take the office of commissioner in Karachi, DCO Ahmed Buksh Norejo Hyderabad, DCO Aleem Lashari Larkana, DCO Inamullah Dharejo Sukkur, DCO Ghulam Hussain Memon Mirpur Khas, and DCO Mohammad Hussain is slated to be Administrator Karachi Municipal Committee (KMC).
