PIA breaks record in delaying Hajj flights

LAHORE: International Airlines (PIA) has set a new record in delaying Hajj flights as one of its planes reached Lahore after a delay of nine hours, Geo News reported.

Around 495 pilgrims on board PIA Flight 2304 will never forget the torment they went through to set foot on the home soil.

A private airlines, allowed operating Hajj flights in order to share PIA load, also failed miserably to deliver as its Flight 2135, carrying about 500 pilgrims arrived five hours later than its scheduled time.

Jet-fatigued homecoming pilgrims sounded off against the poor service.

Relatives waiting for the pilgrims at the airport, who themselves got stranded for long hours also lost patience at times for having to undergo the mental/physical trauma they suffered at the hands of airlines mismanagement.

Geo News also learnt that a lavishly paid 300-strong brigade of PIA officials deployed in Saudi Arabia to facilitate pilgrims is doing nothing but adding to the miseries of the holy travelers.
