No spare parts for repair, 10 PIA planes grounded
KARACHI: The schedule of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been badly affected and passengers of the national carrier are facing long delays as at least 10 planes have been grounded due to technical faults, Geo News reported.
According to sources, despite engineering pact with Transworld and $700 million credit supply agreements, PIA have not received spare parts as a result there is delay in repair of the airplanes.
The grounded airplanes included two Boeing 747, two airbuses A-310, five Boeing 737 and an ATR, the sources informed.
