No decision on quitting assemblies yet: Nawaz

* PML-N chief claims time to get rid of Zardari govt had come

* Says he is in contact with Qureshi, will keep talks option open

SUKKUR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that the decision on resigning en bloc from the national and provincial assemblies had not yet been finalised.
Taking to the media at the airport, he said that the PML-N had tried to be patient in its support for the government, adding that despite this, the PPP did not take right decision and the PML-N had to leave the coalition government.
The PML-N chief said that the party had been deliberating on the resignation issue for a while, but no final decision had been made so far. The decision would be made in the national interest and after considering the overall situation, he added.
Commenting on former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s decision to resign from the PPP and the National Assembly, Sharif said that they were in contact with him and would keep the option for dialogue open.
He said that his meeting with Shah Mehmood Qureshi would be held on November 22. He claimed that the time had come to get rid of the Zardari government as the rulers had provided nothing but plundering, corruption and problems to the people. Corruption of the rulers was damaging national institutions, he added.
He said that the killing of the three Hindu doctors was a highly deplorable act, but the Hindu community should not be disappointed, since the PML-N would take stern action against the killers, adding that it had also raised the matter in parliament. online/app
