Argentina assures support to Pakistan in energy crisis

ISLAMABAD: Argentina would extend its all-out support to Pakistan for overcoming prevailing energy crisis in the country, said Argentinian Ambassador Rodolfo J. Martin Sravia here on Thursday.

During his meeting with National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza, the ambassador expressed his country’s desire to utilize huge economic and human resource potential in Pakistan.

Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza said that Pakistan attaches immense importance to Argentine added that the existing 60-year old warm relations between the two countries need to be taken up to new heights through economic and parliamentary cooperation. She appreciated Argentinean support in energy sector, however, stressed for exploring other avenues of cooperation between the two countries.

Reciprocating to the sentiments of Madam Speaker, the Rodolfo J Martin Sravia, Ambassador said that his country also attaches great significance to Pakistan and wants to see a stable and prosperous country. He said that his country strongly desires to enhance parliamentary relations between both the countries.
