Nawaz trying to involve judiciary in politics: Babar

ISLAMABAD: Former law minister Babar Awan, while reacting to the Faisalabad public meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said that the party rally was having contribution from patwaris, irrigation, education and other departments.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said Nawaz was up in arms against the democratic government, but he had forgotten to mention who used to take mercy letters from his family to Pervez Musharraf. He said Nawaz tried to involve the judiciary in the politics.

Mentioning the party’s slain leaders, the PPP leader said that the address by Nawaz was trial of the graves of the murdered PPP leadership. He said if Nawaz didn’t have any foul wealth in his coffers, why he didn’t have cases against him disposed of.

Babar Awan also denied that any of the Sharif’s family’s assets were nationalised in the Bhutto’s era. He said Nawaz only moaned about money, which he cared about the most. He said Nawaz could claim one day that it was him who stopped the WW-II. He said that Nawaz needed to tell the people about the foreign currency accounts seized during his tenure. He said the people should be told what happened to foreign remittances after that. He said that Nawaz also needed to tell the public about ‘Karz Utaro Mulk Sanwaro’ scandal. He told Nawaz that Zardari was the person who spent time in jail “without moaning or flinching unlike you (Nawaz)”. online
