SHC restrains police from arresting MQM-H leader

KARACHI: A division bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) here on Monday ordered police not to arrest Aleem Ahmed Khan, an activist of Muhajir Qaumi Movement- Haqiqi (MQM-H) in an FIR, which was lodged by one Khalid Hussain at Landhi police station on Nov 16. The applicant submitted in his pre-arrest bail application that the FIR is false and he is being victimised as he is pursuing the cases against Chairman MQM-H Afaq Ahmed in the courts. After hearing the application the bench directed police that the applicant shall not be arrested in the case till Dec 21 when the matter will come up for further hearing. It may be mentioned here that Landhi police has registered an FIR against Khan and others on complaint of one Hussain on Nov 16, 2011 in which he alleged that he was injured in attack by Aleem and others on Nov 16. Hussain, an employee of KWSB is also complainant in one of the cases against Ahmed. app
