Shahbaz for accountability of black sheep in police
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said that strict accountability of 'black sheep' in police was necessary, adding, the police officers who come in the way of justice did not have the right to stay in their designated positions.
Responding to people's complains, the CM Punjab said, redressal of people's grievances was the duty of police and the right of the former. Describing bribery and nepotism as a major hurdle in the way of justice, he said the same would not be tolerated.
Shahbaz directed the police not to show any leniency to the criminals regardless of how influential they may be. Supremacy of justice is the sign of a vibrant society, he added.
