Kaira opposes SC meddling in CNG pricing
ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Thursday warned that if the courts continued to meddle in matters like the CNG pricing and the Kala Bagh dam issue, the government would also entangle them.
He was speaking to media following a Conference on Disaster Management of SAARC countries. Journalists told the minister that eventually the court had slashed the prices of CNG.The media persons asked as to why the government remained reluctant to cut the prices.
Kaira was of the view that such issues should be decided in the parliament instead of courts.
The minister issued “last warning” to the former ISI chief Lt.Gen (retd) Hamid Gul to show restraint. “People know about what you (Gul) did during service and what you are doing now,” he added
