Sharjeel demands ECP to disqualify Nawaz

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to disqualify PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif from taking part in politics in the light of Supreme Court verdict in Asghar Khan case.

Describing Nawaz Sharif as ‘creation of dictator’ and ‘fake premier of 1990’, Sharjeel said in a statement on Friday that the real face of PML-N leader stands exposed to the masses after SC verdict.

"Nawaz Sharif has proved to be a ‘saleable commodity’ that could be bought at some price," he remarked.

Sindh minister contended that Nawaz Sharif is not even eligible to call himself a politician, as he received funds for creation of Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) and also received amount from Osama Bin Laden for tumbling down democratic government of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, and also did a deal with Gen. Pervez Musharraf seeking apology.

Sharjeel claimed that masses would reject these 'paper-lions' and fugitives in coming elections and the PPP would emerge successful in all the four provinces seeking more seats than before.

PPP minister claimed carrying out record development works especially in Sindh saying all the basic needs of people including electricity, gas and potable water have been fulfilled.
