SC duty bound to ensure Constitutional supremacy: CJ
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhary has stated that being the guardian of the Constitution, it is the responsibility of the Supreme Court to ensure the supremacy of the Constitution in connection with the actions of state institutions and authorities, Geo News reported Monday.
"Gone are the days when the country's stability was used to be determined through missiles and tanks," the Chief Justice while addressing the participants of the seventh management course here.
He said the structure of the Supreme Court, its powers and parameters have been determined by the Constitution.
