Government has failed to ensure peace in Karachi: Nawaz Sharif
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President, Nawaz Sharif said Sunday that the government has failed to ensure peace in Karachi.
In a statement, Shairf said the entire country was saddened over the situation in Karachi. The PML-N president added that despite their presence in the federal and provincial governments, parties elected from Karachi had failed to maintain peace in the city.
Nawaz Sharif advocated that the government should crush those criminals behind the wave of violence in the metropolis.
He urged all the political parties, Ulema, scholars, media and civil society to play their due role towards establishment of peace in the economic hub of the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that nine people fell prey to the ongoing violence in just one day (Sunday) in the metropolis where targeted and sectarian killings have claimed thousands of lives over the course of past few years.
