Accountability bill likely to be tabled in NA on Monday
ISLAMABAD: The new accountability bill is expected to be tabled in the National Assembly session on Monday, Geo News reported on Sunday.
The NA session would start 5:00 PM in the evening followed by a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the house, where agenda for the session would be finalized.
The house is also expected to discuss the situation emerging after the Supreme Court’s ruling in Asghar Khan case.
According t sources, a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Law has also been convened and the accountability bill is likely to be presented in the same session of the house if the NA body approved it.
The Senate session would also start 4:00 in the evening. Interior Minister Rehman Malik would wrap up a debate over sectarian violence in Balochistan, Karachi and Gilgit-Baltistan as well as overall law and order situation in the country.
