Next government, not to be a bed of roses: Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif Monday said that the next government would not be a bed of roses for whoever came in power, Geo News reported.

“The outgoing rulers are leaving a behind a legacy of utter misgovernance, which it would be very hard for the incoming ones to get over”, said he while addressing a Youth Internship Programmme ceremony here.

He said shouting slogans at the top of their lungs would not help as for the change to come a lot more was needed than that.

“Action always speaks louder than words”, Nawaz said.

He said it was a pity that there were so many instances of violators of constitution, courts of law, and legislature receiving the “guards of honour” and the champions of the same getting the opposite.

Taking a jibe at the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, PML-N leader also added some people were trying to lead the youth astray but young blood was too smart for them.

“I am sure the young of my country are not as naïve as the beguilers think they are. No one will ever be able to hijack the “future of Pakistan”, said Nawaz Sharif.
