No confidence in any commission: Malik Riaz
ISLAMABAD: Business tycoon Malik Riaz appeared before the Shoaib Suddle commission tasked with probing the Arsalan Iftikhar case on Tuesday.
Riaz said he appeared before the commission to state that he had no confidence in Suddle or in any other commission.
Speaking to the media Riaz’s counsel, Zahid Bukhari said the commission was unlawful and they were not expecting any justice from it. Bukhari added that the term of the commission had expired prior to October and they were not willing to cooperate any further.
“From October 15 till November 6, the actions of the Suddle commission were unlawful,” Bukhari said.
The Supreme Court had taken away the probe in the case from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and directed Shoaib Suddle to investigate the scandal. The commission had been given directives to complete its probe within 30 days.
