Asghar Khan case: Imran for ban on politicians

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has demanded of the Election Commission to bar those politicians from doing politics who allegedly receive funds from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Geo News reported on Wednesday.

Speaking at a press conference, Khan advised those politicians including Mian Nawaz Sharif who allegedly received money from the spy agency to stay away from the politics until they got themselves cleared.

He claimed that the FIA had still not initiated inquiry into the Asghar Khan case as there was a compromise between the PPP and the PML-N.

Khan said that the PTI was accused of drawing support from the ISI but the allegations against the Nawaz-league had been proved.

He said that there was no allegation against Javed Hashmi of taking money from the ISI in 1990 election. The PTI chief said that Hashmi would contest next election after proving all the allegations against him as wrong.
