NA body seeks FIA reply over notice to GilaniISLAMABAD:The National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privilege has sought written reply from Director General Federal Investigation Agency and an investigation officer for issuing notices to Abdul Qadir Gilani and his family members with regard to Haj corruption probe, Geo News reported on Thursday.
The committee, which met under the chairmanship of Chaudhry Abdul Ghaffoor has also summoned interior secretary in the next meeting.
DG FIA and investigation officer Hussain Asghar appeared before the committee. The committee asked Asghar to submit his written reply as to why he issued notices to Mr Gilani and his family members.
The committee would meet on Monday 3:00 pm. The FIA had issued summons to former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and his son Abdul Qadir Gilani for November 16.
