PPP stands by Gilani: Kaira
DERA ISMAEL KHAN: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the Pakistan People’s Party stood by former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Geo News reported on Thursday.
Speaking to media after expressing his grief with Deputy Speaker National Assembly Speaker over the demise of his father, the minister dispelled the notion that Gilani family was raising voice against the PPP government over the issuance of FIA notices.
He claimed that situation in Karachi was better than as that of the past despite the presence of extortion and land mafias in the city.
Kaira pledged that the issue of Seraikai province would be taken to the National Assembly and the Senate. He added that assemblies would complete there tenure and election would be held in time.
