Beaconhouse to hold moot in Kuala Lumpur on 21st
LAHORE: Beaconhouse has arranged the fourth international School of Tomorrow conference at Sunway Lagoon Hotel and Spa Resort in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 20-21. This is the first time that an educational group/institute from Pakistan has organised an educational conference abroad. “This is a matter of great pride for all of us as this is also the first international conference on the future of schools also held in Malaysia. More than 600 educationists, philosophers, modern day thinkers, classroom practitioners, leaders and others from four continents and 12 countries around the world including United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Singapore, Pakistan, the UAE, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Oman, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia are participating in this conference to discuss the future of schools and education with a global perspective,” said Kasim Kasuri, CEO of the Beaconhouse Group. “Our ultimate aim is to pave the way into creating empowered life-long learners who will form a better workforce for the future”, he added. This conference is timely for Malaysia as it allows an insight into the direction the country is taking towards a system that is less exam-orientated and more holistic and ties in well with the recent announcement of the Malaysian Education Blueprint 2013 – 2025 by the prime minister of Malaysia in early September. pr
