‘Control Room set up in Islamabad’
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that a Control Room headed by additional secretary has been set up in Islamabad as part of security arrangements in Muharram, Geo News reported on Saturday.
Speaking to Geo News, the minister said mobile phone services were not suspended in Dera Ismail Khan where an IED blast killed at least seven people. He said that investigation had been ordered into the incident. Malik said that the mobile phone services were not suspended in some areas and orders had been issued to block them.
He said that mobile phone service providing companies had been ordered to follow government’s orders.
The minister expressed resolve to thwart terrorists plans and said every possible resource would be provided to ensure security.
