Didn’t attempt suicide, says PPP senator

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Sehar Kamran has rejected the reports about she attempted to commit suicide on Friday, Geo News reported on Saturday.

The female Senator said that she was depressed after PPP chief whip in the upper house of the parliament told him that bill (Constitutional (amendment) bill on dual nationality could not be approved due to her absence.

Sehar Karman said that she had reached Pakistan straight from Jeddah after receiving instructions from the chief whip to ensure her presence in the house.

The PPP failed to get approved a bill which also allows politicians with dual nationality to contest election.
