Balochistan doctors’ to continue strike until colleague freed
QUETTA: Doctors’ in Balochistan have announced to continue their strike until their kidnapped colleague is freed and their other demands are met.
The doctors are demanding that Dr Saeed be freed and despite several attempts by the government, they have refused to end their strike.
The provincial government has ordered that doctors, on strike not be allowed to government hospitals. Prior to this doctors’ had been issued show cause notices, their pay had been stopped and over 70 doctors who had been arrested during the strike have been suspended.
Despite these measures the strike continues and doctors have even refused to treat patients in emergency wards.
