PMA Balochistan to continue strike

QUETTA: Pakistan Medical Association, Balochistan chapter has decided to continue with the strike after the recovery of abducted eye specialist Dr Saeed Khan Wednesday, Geo News reported.

The family sources told Geo News that Dr Khan reached home after being recovered and refrained from giving further details.

Doctors throughout Balochistan protested the kidnapping of the senior doctor and went on strike, closing down the emergencies and wards in government and private hospitals. On the other hand, PMA Balochistan has announced to carry on with the strike after Dr Khan’s recovery.

While citing the reason of strike, President of PMA Balochistan Dr Sultan Tareen told the media that the doctors will continue the strike as Dr Khan was recovered after the payment of ransom, and no intervention was made on behalf of the government or security agencies.

Dr Saeed Khan, an eye specialist at LRBT, was abducted on October 16 from Saryab Road on his way back to home from clinic.
