Extremism dangerous for both Pakistan, US: envoy

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard Olson has said that extremism is ‘dangerous’ for both Pakistan and the United States of America, Geo News reported.

Talking to media after inauguration ceremony of restoration of Mangla Power House project here Wednesday, Olson said Pak-US cooperation at civil and military level is moving forward.

Economic working group meeting under Pak-US strategic dialogue would be held in Washington next week while energy working group will meet in December in Islamabad, the envoy said.

He said extremism is dangerous for Pakistan and the US and both can fight it jointly.

On the occasion, the Ambassador announced $150 million US assistance for Mangla Power House project.
