Strike in cities of Sindh against Local Government lawKARACHI: Strikes were held in several cities of Sindh against the new Local Government (LG) law.
The strikes were held on the call of the Sindh Bacho (Save Sindh) Committee. Several educational institutions’, businesses and petrol pumps remained closed and thin traffic was seen on roads.
In Qasimabad, Hyderabad a rally was taken out. Protesters pelted stones at shops which remained open and caused damage.
Twelve people were injured as a result of firing which took place during a rally in Sanghar.
Rallies were also taken out in Sukkur and Nawabshah. 18 workers of Sindhi Nationalists parties were also arrested.
