Moderate quake jolts Shangla, adjoining areas

ISLAMABAD: Moderate tremors were felt on Saturday in different areas of Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Tremors were also felt in Chitral and other adjoining areas, reported a private news channel. The intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 4.8 on the Richter scale with its epicentre near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. Tremors were felt for about 8 to 10 seconds. However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life and property. app
