PESHAWAR: Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Nasir Khan Durrani on Thursday said that two suspects involved in Qissa Khawani Bazaar had been arrested.

He said that both the Afghan nationals were also involved in several acts of terrorism in Afghanistan and had confessed to their involvement in the Qissa Khawani deadly bombings.

Speaking to Geo News, the IGP declared Kohat, Peshawar, Hangu, and Dera Ismael Khan as sensitive areas keeping in view Muharram.

He said that security arrangements including measures to detect Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) have been finalized. The IG, however, said that no decision was taken so far to snap mobile phone services during two last days of Muharram.
